Please come join us in celebrating the holiday season with Roberta (Bert) Morris's A Small Town Christmas.
When you visit A Small Town Christmas you will get lost in Bert's 600 sq ft miniature village. It features a very lovingly and precisely arranged miniature Christmas village. The miniature village is home to everything from the wilderness to mansion row. Everyone in the family will find a small part of the village they love so much they just have to take a picture with it.
Even if you came and visited Bert and the library last year, don't skip out this year. Every year Bert is adding more pieces to her already enormous collection! She starts planning for the next year even before her village closes for the year. This truly is a labor of love for Bert.
The main village is in the libraries meeting room at kid-level to allow even our smallest visitor to ooh and aah over the smallest details such as working lights, moving parts, and even street signs. While parents will need to supervise their small children in the main village, in the main library there are dedicated tables for a build-your-own village area where everyone is encouraged to create their own village.
The Ogden Rose Public Library is located at 103 W. Main Street in Ogden a quick 20-minute drive east of Champaign on I-74.
